Getting Started with ChangePilot
Welcome to ChangePilot!
ChangePilot is a project scoping and accountability workspace. Start a project, break it into tasks, assign teammates, and track progress on a board or timeline. The free plan includes up to 3 projects.
Quick start: head to Projects → New project, give it a goal, and add your first few tasks. You can invite teammates any time from the project's Team panel.
Management of Change (MOC) is an add-on module. If your organization has MOC enabled, the steps below walk through the formal review workflow — a structured process for evaluating and approving higher-risk changes before they happen.
Your First Steps
Create Your Account
If you haven't already, create an account or log in. You'll need to confirm your email address if required by your administrator.
Get Assigned to a Department
Your administrator will assign you to an organization and department. If you can't access features, contact your administrator.
Explore the Dashboard
When you log in, you'll see the MOCs page showing:
- MOCs you've created
- MOCs pending your department's review (if you're a reviewer)
Understanding Your Role
Regular User
You can create MOCs but cannot review them. Your role is to initiate change requests.

- ❌ Cannot review MOCs
Department Reviewer
You can review MOCs for your department. You'll see MOCs pending review when you log in.

- ✅ Make approval decisions
Administrator
Full access to manage users, departments, and view all MOCs in your organization.

- MOCs are automatically assigned unique numbers (e.g., MOC-2024-0001)
- All departments review MOCs simultaneously - no waiting for others
